THE SITE
After each wedding reception, we send our newlyweds an evaluation. The first question asks them "what impressed them the most about their wedding reception" and the second questions asks "what most impressed your guests". The most consistent answer to both questions is "the ambiance of Forrestal's".
The original brick inn was built in 1867 and now houses the bar. The uniquely designed cherrywood bar makes a stunning statement as your guests enter. A sense of warmth and coziness is an immediate reaction.
Moving on through the bar area you next enter an authentic Greenhouse. It is used as a dining area and capacity in this room is 59 seats. Picture you and your guests star-gazing from linen-draped, candle-lit tables. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
Adjacent to the Greenhouse is the Hearth Room dining area with its inviting, cozy fireplace and french doors which lead onto the private garden courtyard. This dining area's capacity is 65 seats.
All three of the above-described areas surround our outdoor garden courtyard. The courtyard is completely private and may be used for a variety of purposes - cocktails, additional dining, wedding ceremonies, and dancing. A water pond, vine covered walls, a victorian gazebo and flowers will greet your guests in the courtyard. The garden is canopied from late April to late October to ensure usage in inclement weather. If this area is needed for dining, capacity is 34 seats.
Please note that if you desire a Head Table we can certainly accommodate you in any of the above described areas (except the bar), however, capacity in one of the three dining areas may be slightly diminished by the addition of a Head Table.

*We can accommodate additional guests for a heavy appetizer/cocktail reception as not all guests necessarily sit at the same time. Also, there are additional seats in the bar that we do not count for a sit-down meal that guests would use for an appetizer buffet. The heavy appetizer buffet is meant to encourage mingling and guests often like to be able to move from table to table to talk and visit with different groups of guests.
MINIMUMS
Saturdays - 100 guests and Sundays 50 guests
If the final guest count that you provide to your caterer falls below the above minimum, Forrestal's will assess a fee of $15 per person based on the number of guests under the minimum.
AVAILABILITY
4:00pm - 12:30am*
*This is an 8 1/2 hour slot of time. Although we are unable to slide this bank of time past 12:30am, you may slide it forward on Saturday and Sunday only (for example, 2:00pm-10:30pm) and pay nothing additional. Should you need the facility for longer than 8 1/2 hours, a fee of $100 per additional hour would apply.
"The whole event seemed magical and romantic. There is no need for fancy decorations; the property is beautiful as is. We loved having both ceremony and reception in one place. The ceremony was so beautiful and intimate under the gazebo with the greenery. There are no words to describe accurately what the entire event felt like. Also, having Debi and Michelle coordinate was fantastic! It was so nice to leave all of those organizing and decorating nightmares to someone else. It all ran very smoothly; I can't think of any problems. It was very reassuring knowing that someone was there the entire evening. She even brought our stuff down from the dressing rooms and packed up flowers, candles, and food! The departure was stress-free and simple. We wouldn't have changed a thing!
IT WAS PERFECT!
We had so many compliments from our guests. Everyone thought the whole event was beautiful. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed being able to mingle inside or outside under the tents. We heard "This is by far the best wedding we've ever been to", and "We want our wedding to be just like this". Everyone loved it!
